Zelma Fawcett died peacefully with family by her side, at Cassellhome, North Bay, on Thursday, February 20, 2020. She was 88 years old. Zelma (Smith) was predeceased by her first husband George Carnevale (1929-1972) and her second husband Laverne “Vern” Fawcett (1942-2019). She was the beloved mother of Deb Martin (Mike) of Powassan and Kerry Carnevale (Jennifer) of South River, and will be lovingly remembered by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Zelma was predeceased by her son-in-law Bruce Milne and by her sister Verna Phillips (late Lloyd). She is survived by her siblings Shirley Patterson (late Warren) of North Bay, Elva Cressy (late Jack) of Richmond Hill, Otto Smith (Grace) of Stoney Creek and Erie Cressy (Frank) of Powassan. Special thanks to the caring staff at Cassellholme. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
