Mrs. Ruth Evers died peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness at North Bay General Hospital on Sunday, January 18, 2004, in her 84th year. Ruth (Durrell) was predeceased by her husband Howard Louis Evers. She was the loving mother of the late Alban (June Evers) of Powassan; Merelyne (Gerry Odrowski) of Trout Creek and the late Hartley (Sandra Becker) of Trout Creek. Ruth was the dear grandmother of Allan (Theresa), Mark (Paulianne), David (Claudette), Cheryl (Shawn), Bruce (Cindy),BiIl (SheryI), Brad (Pam) and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan (705-724-2024) Thursday, January 22nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Trout Creek, with the Reverend Father Ron Meyer officiating.
