Edna EM Sheffield (1911-2003)

Patti Depatie, officiating clergy Phelps United Church, at Martyn Funeral Chapel, Thursday, December 4, 2003 at 11 am, celebrated funeral services for the late Edna Sheffield. Spring interment will be at Terrace Lawn Cemetery. On Monday, December 1, 2003, Edna passed away peacefully at Cassellholme Home of the Aged, in her 92nd year. Left to mourn are sons Douglas (Burleigh), Allan “Mike” (Fran), Edward (Karen), Norman (Helen), Ronald (Carol Piche), Larry “Joe” (Mary Joy Clark-Carriere) and daughters Alice (Gordon Hewitt), Irene (Vincent Murphy), Barbara (Bruce Lennox) and Gloria Wallace (Larry Ranger). Also survived by brother Ralph Rausch (Margrit) and sister Mable (John Wright). Edna was predeceased by her parents Richard and Sophia Rausch, husband Ernest (January 1980), son Stanley (May 2000) surviving daughter-in-law Jeannine, an infant son (1947), brother Maurice (1939), sister Helen Tyler (March 1998) and two infant grandchildren. Mrs. Sheffield was a resident of Redbridge for most of her life. Pallbearers were grandsons, Vernon, David and Trevor Murphy, Jeff Sheffield, Scott Hewitt and Travis Wallace.
