It is with heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Gary Duquette on October 12, 2018 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 86 years. Devoted husband of Angelina Duquette (nee Falconi). Loving father of Linda McCorkell (Dan), Liz Rodovich (Mike), Cheryl Lalonde and Deb Allan (Bob). Cherished grandpa of Jason Boulet, David and Mark McCorkell, Dana Rodovich, Samantha and Katie Sloat and great grandpa of Calvyn Dennie, Wyatt and Clark McCorkell. Gary is survived by his dear brother Pat (Vera), and was predeceased by his sisters Dwyla Hanson (Vern), Eletha Nodwell (Scottie), Mary Martin (George) and brothers Duke ‘John’ (Shirley) and Cleo. He was also predeceased by his parents; Nelson and Molly Duquette. Gary will be sadly missed by his in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Gary was a devoted and dedicated firefighter who worked from 1956-1992 for the City of North Bay, on his days off, he painted homes. The family will be receiving visitors at The Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption on Saturday October 20, 2018 from 10 am until funeral mass at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by his family. The Duquette family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Gleason and nurses Stephanie, Rachael and Ryan from C-3 for their care and compassion given to our family.
