DOWDALL, Murray Aldon

Murray Dowdall died peacefully at his Callander home on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in his 85th year. He was predeceased by his wife Aldean (Beatty). Murray was the proud father of Scott (Sherrie) and Blaine (Jo-Anne), and grandfather of Ryan, Cameron and Kayley all of Callander. Murray was the dear friend of Clara James of Callander.  He was predeceased by his siblings Lester (& his wife Lucy), Frances (& her husband Roy Colley), Leoma (& her husband Arnold Dinning), George (& his wife Jean), Irma (& her husband Allan Johnston), Ivah (& her husband Wallace Rose) and Islah (& her husband Jim Downton). Murray was the founder of Dowdall Cabinets and well-known and liked for his custom carpentry skills, work ethic, and sense of humour. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home in Powassan on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday in the chapel. Interment to follow at Nipissing Cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Murray to the Cancer Society (cheques only please) are suggested.
