Bessie Anne “Anna” Doupe (Howden) died peacefully after a brief battle with cancer at North Bay Regional Health Centre on June 22, 2018 at the age of 73. She was surrounded by family and friends that she dearly loved and there was lots of laughter, singing, and love, just as she wanted. Anna is survived by her children, Audra Doupe (Dave Kunto) and Jason Doupe (Rosemary), both of North Bay. She will be deeply missed by her granddaughter Taylor Brown, her grandsons Trevor (Jenny) and Thomas (Jen) Brown, and her great-grandchildren, Haley and Ethan. She is predeceased by her mother, Lyda Lippett and her former spouse, Roger Doupe. Anna was born and raised in Hudson Twsp, near New Liskeard and moved to North Bay in 1983 with her family. She lived a busy and active life and will be remembered for her cooking; at Community of Christ church camp, in her canteen on the base, at Concordia Centre and anytime someone needed fresh, homemade bread or butter tarts. She volunteered endlessly in the past few years and she will be greatly missed by all those whom she touched in big and small ways. Special thanks to Bonnie Bolger and the Bolger family for their steadfast friendship and devotion. Your friendship with Anna will always be a shining example of love and faithfulness. Sincere thanks to Dr. Jinnah for her unwavering compassion and care on this journey and to the staff on C3 for their exceptional care.

A celebrate of Anna’s life will be held on Sunday July 15th from 1 to 2 pm at North Bay Rorab Shrine Club.  An open house will follow immediately after from 2 to 4 pm. Anna was blessed to receive a kidney transplant in 2005 and in lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Ontario Organ Donation program at the Trillium Gift of Life. Arrangements entrusted to Basic Cremation services.

We’ll miss you Ma.
