The Dodgson Family sadly announces the passing of our beloved Matriarch. Carol Anne Dodgson (nee Cooper), peacefully passed away on Wednesday September 16th, in her 79th year at North Bay Regional Health Centre.

Carol is Predeceased by her Husband of 51 years, “Jack “ John Dodgson (2014) and her parents Elizabeth and John Cooper. Devoted Mother to Jeffrey and Jamie. Cherished Grandmother to Jessica (Mike), Jonathan (Catherine), Andrew, Jasmine, she will be fondly remembered by Tina, Vicki, Cheryl, Phil. Special “extra” grandma to Jordy. Carol will also be sadly missed by her sister, Sharon Etches (George) and nieces Kim and Kelly, and her Brother John Cooper (Nury) nieces and nephews  Mary-Anne, Charles and Carlos .She will also be missed by her Brother In Law  Murray Dodgson (Franca) Nephews and nieces, Matthew (Sarah), Bryan (Ashley), Daniel (Christina) and Marisa (Spencer). Carol loved her family and enjoyed creating many memories and laughs with us, she loved nature and wildlife, she raised chickens and ducks, and enjoyed having two Standard Schnauzer companions Maxx and Yogi. She also enjoyed the many deer that would come visit at her house on Premier Rd. Our family would like to extend heartfelt thank you to Dr. Galema, the staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre and home care agencies CarePartners, V.O.N and Paramed personal support workers and nurses who helped Carol in her last few years at home. Visitation for Carol will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. To reserve a time for Visitation, please call the Martyn Funeral Home at 705-472-8810. A Funeral Service will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Monday, September 21st at 11:00 am. If you wish to attend the Service, please call 705-472-8810 to reserve a seat in the Chapel. Due to the current pandemic restrictions, those in attendance at the funeral service must wear a Mask and respect Social Distancing Guidelines. Interment to follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to the North Bay & District Humane Society would be appreciated by her family.
