With broken hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Raymond on Friday December 18, 2020 surrounded by the love of his family, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, at the age of 77 years. Predeceased by his wife Yvonne (nee Leblond) in 2004. Beloved father of Lise Danis (Marc Cote), Jilles Danis (Paulette Blais-Danis), and Sue Clarida (Wayne) all of North Bay. Cherished Pépère to Colin, Shayne and Kyle. Raymond was predeceased by his parents Lucien and Alice (nee Demers ) Danis, his granddaughter Kiya Charbonneau, his sister Bernadette Bohn (Erhard-surviving) and is survived by his brother Michael Danis (Henrietta) and his sister Raymonde Schnider (Jerry). Raymond will always be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and his many friends.
The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday December 23, 2020 from 11am to 2pm. A private funeral service will be conducted. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Raymond enjoyed a long successful career with the C.N. Railway but paled in comparison with the love for his family and friends. He loved hunting and fishing and the outdoors. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the VON, the Doctors and Nurses of the C3 Palliative Care Unit at the North Bay Regional Health Centre and especially his 3 angels that were his PSW workers your care and compassion will always be remembered. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
