It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Vincenza D’Agostino (April 7, 2019) in her 89th year, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.  She was the beloved wife of the late Stefano (Steve) D’Agostino, and loving Mother of Rosemary Chretien (Marc), Tony D’Agostino (Rhonda), Vicki D’Agostino (Mike Freyer), and David D’Agostino (Tara). She was the proud grandmother of Stephen, Stefanie, Alexandra, Elaine and Hannah, and great-grandmother of Mason.  She is survived by her brother Vincenzo, sister-in-laws Pina D’Agostino (Giuseppe [Joe]- deceased) and Teresa Suraci (Vincenzo-deceased) and many nieces and nephews. Vincenza was pre-deceased by her sisters; Domenica (Paolo), Antonietta (Cristoforo), her brothers; Rocco (Maria), Bruno (Yolanda), and Giuseppe (Angelina-surviving).  She was born in the City of Reggio (Calabria, Italy) and will be remembered as a kind and friendly person who welcomed others with a warm smile and a kind word.  Vincenza was a gentle and nurturing Mother who loved her children unconditionally, she was truly devoted to her family and was at her happiest hosting her loved ones in her home. Mom you will always be in our hearts (sempre nel nostri cuore)! Visitation is at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday April 10, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church on Thursday April 11, 2019 at 10 am.  Entombment at the All Saints Mausoleum, reception to follow at St. Peter’s Church Hall.   The family wishes to extend its thanks to all of the dedicated Nurses, Paramedics and Medical Staff for their exceptional care and compassion.   If desired donations to The Nipissing Serenity Hospice or a charity of your choice would  be gratefully appreciated by the family.
