CHENIER, Edgar ‘Ed’

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Ed Chenier on January 10, 2018 at the age of 71 years. Devoted partner of Carmelle Dion. Loving father of Angela Gillard, Pamela Ouimette (Allan) and step-daughter Tina Duhn (Matthew). Cherished grandfather of Angeline Sykes (Lyndon), Allan Ouimette Jr. (Roxy Sauve), Candace Perreault (Marcel), Ryan Gillard (Hillary), step grandchildren; Courtney Westerlund, Jayde Duhn and great grandpa of Sawyer, Carys, Ramsey, Jacob, Lucas, Austin and Jackson. Dear brother of Raymond Chenier (Madeleine), Aline King (Keith), Lou Chenier (Rosemarie) and Irene Dower (Keith-predeceased). Predeceased by his parents Edward and Angeline Chenier (nee Rattier) and his close friend/uncle Fred Rattier. Ed was well known in the community for his outgoing nature, humour, dedication, devotion and management of Ben’s Supermarket for 28 years and also 20 plus years of volunteering at St Andrews United Church. Family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Saturday January 13, 2018 from 1 until time of memorial service at 3 pm. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
