It is with profound sorrow that the Chatelain family announce Vital’s (‘’Peewee’s’’) passing on Friday January 29, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
He was predeceased by his parents Lionel and Ella Chatelain and brothers Roger, Rene, Lionel, Rolland (Aline), Yvon (Darlene) and Marcel (Darlene) and the love of his life of 56 years, Victoria, who passed on September 6, 2020.
Vital will be fondly remembered by his children Michel (Lori), Roger (Jewel) and Denise Chatelain-Bell (Bob) and dearly missed by his grandchildren, Cody (Ivan), Rebecca (Noah), Madison Chatelain, Jake (Kendra), Trent Chatelain, Christopher Mazara (Shayne) and Kayla Mazara (Kevin). He also leaves behind four beautiful great-grandchildren, Gunnar, Remy, Merrick and Mazey and a baby girl on the way.
Peewee is survived by brothers’ Armand (Ellen), Gerald (Jane), Gerard (Martine predeceased) and sisters Hermance (Ernest predeceased), Lucille Chatelain, Yvonne (Gord Major), Pierrette Coddington (David predeceased) and Colette Solsky (Bill).
He will also be missed by all of the adopted family along the way.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at an announced date in the spring at Notre Dame des Victoires Cemetery in Field, ON. A heartfelt thank you to North Bay Regional Health Centre staff of A3 and the C.C.U. and also Dr. Fricker and Dr. Kumar for taking such good care of Vital. Donations in memory of Vital to the North Bay Regional Health Centre will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
