CHARRON, Gilles

It is with the deepest sorrow that the family announces the passing of Gilles at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Thursday August 17, 2017. Beloved husband of Lilianne Moreau. Loving father to Denis (Jan) of Markham, Nicole Grant (Mark) of Aurora and Robert (Lenore O’Flynn) of Bradford. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Evelyn and Erin Grant and Christopher and Peter Charron. Also survived by his siblings Paul (Laura), Sister Jocelyne, Maurice (Yvette), Marcelle (Georges –deceased). He was predeceased by his 1st wife Jeannine (nee Cousineau), and his siblings Denise (John), Lucille, Chuck (Marie), Beatrice (Chuck). Gilles had a full life of 84 years. He retired as V.P. for a pharmaceutical company at the age of 61, returning to his hometown of North Bay. He was an avid fisherman, hunter & family man and spent many days on the links here and in Florida. He knew God and loved to sing His praises. Visitation will be held at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, on Monday August 21st from 2 until 4pm and 7 until 9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption on Tuesday August 22nd  at 10 am. Donations in memory of Gilles to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
