(September 14, 1938 to January 14, 2022)

Grief is the last act of love we have to give. Where there is deep grief, there was great love.

Bayden passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022 in his 84th year leaving us with great grief as we learn to navigate the world without him in it.

Bayden was the most loving husband and devoted life partner of Beverley for 63 and a half years!  Bayden and Beverley danced their way through the ups and downs, trials and tribulations of life together providing an incredible example of love and marriage, commitment and compromise to three generations.

Left to mourn the loss are his children and their spouses; Kimberley & Greg Gray, Mandy & Ross Isenegger, Christopher, Scott & Marilyn and Colleen & James Barnett  and their children and spouses;  Ted, Brandon, Chad, Justin & Candice, Neil & Laura, Heather & Michael  Lauren & Tim, Jonathan & Lia and predeceased by Brad  (who is no doubt up to shenanigans with his grandpa in Heaven!) Jessica Hannah, Bayden, Kerri (Mike), Dale (Joey), Jenica, Kyra and Jacob. As well as many great grandchildren he had the pleasure of delighting in!

Bayden was born and raised in Powassan.   He was predeceased by his parents Adam and Agnes and siblings Edgar and Janice.  He is survived by siblings: Norman & Deanna, Ruth Bruce, Drenda & Raymond Brisson as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bayden wore many hats throughout his life.  An electrician by trade he worked for the ONR, Mechron Engineering and Johns Manville before starting Brownlee Electric in the ‘70s.  Bayden was respected in his trade for his honesty and workmanship.  In 1980 he made the decision to purchase the Dolphin Motel and try his hand at something different.  He spent the next 38 years (1980-2018) entertaining customers with his stories and jokes while working hard to make their Northern experience the best he could, making many friends along the way.

Bayden was a man who showed his love through simple acts of kindness and was always willing to help others. He was a longstanding faithful member of Christ Church Anglican, taking a turn as the Sunday school superintendent and serving on the board, as the people's warden and rector's warden to several incumbents. He humbly served.
