At Cassellholme on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her first husband Sydney in 1978. Survived by her husband of 20 years, Aneas Mellis. Loving mother of Betty Lord of Vancouver, Barb Flonders (Jim) of Fergus and mother-in-law of Shirley Brown of Kitchener. Predeceased by her son Sydney on December 17, 2003. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren David, Don, Cathy, Kim, Jennifer and Jacqueline and by three great-grandchildren in Australia. Eileen was born in Calgary and after several moves, came to North Bay in 1959. She has been an active member of St. Andrew’s United Church, UCW, IODE for over 25 years and the head of Volunteer Services at the North Bay Civic Hospital for over 25 years. She also had a passion for card games, especially bridge. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. Spring interment at the Terrace Lawn Cemetery. If desired donations to St. Andrew’s United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
