Following her battle with cancer, Laura passed away Friday night at the age of 49. She is survived by her mother Barbara Briggs, her daughters Alicia Briggs (Orane) and Sophie Lalonde (Gabriel), her brothers Matthew Briggs (Terri) and James Graham (Laurie), grandchildren Liam and Bronxton, and many cousins. She is predeceased by her father Allen Briggs.
She is also remembered by her dearest friends Claude Gagné and Charlene Hare, who lovingly cared for her during her illness.
Laura (aka Raven) loved all animals, especially hound dogs, and touched countless lives through her work with www.dogsrppltoo.com (@dogsrppltoo) and a multitude of pet rescue and humanitarian aid initiatives. Her passion to speak for the voiceless, help others, and save souls marked her kindness and generosity of spirit.
Laura was a jack-of-all trades, who never turned down a new adventure and particularly loved truck driving across Canada and the US. She will be sorely missed by her family, many friends, and dogs.
If desired, donations in memory of Laura may made to Canadian Cancer Society or the North Bay Humane Society. No service will be held.
