BOTTRELL, Herbert Dwight

Posted

of Burmis, Alberta passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital at the age of 59 years. Dwight, as he was better known, was born on January 26, 1945 in Port Loring, Ontario to Herbert and Vi Bottrell. He met a kind, wonderful woman, Judith Elaine Stein and was united in matrimony on October 26, 1963. Together they raised their two sons with much love. Throughout his lifetime, Dwight was a long haul truck driver, working for various trucking companies. With the support of his family, Dwight moved his family to the Crowsnest Pass, 14 years ago making Burmis their home. Dwight was a kind, loving, giving, honest and caring man with a great sense of humour. He loved and supported his family with everything that they did. He also enjoyed when his boys would bring their friends over. He took great pleasure in playing his guitar, listening to music, reading, watching TV and taking rides throughout the area of the Crowsnest Pass. Although Dwight is no longer here with us he will forever remain in our hearts. Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life is his loving wife, Judith of Burmis; his sons, Steven Bottrell and Dwight Bottrell, both of Calgary, Alberta; his niece, Peggy (Ray) Rhodes of Red Deer, Alberta; his nephews, Robert (Claudette) Lee and Chris (Cathy) Lee, both of Garson, Ontario; his sisters-in-law, Diana Thompson of Nanton, Alberta and Cathy (Bruce) Stuart of Calgary, Alberta; his brothers-in-law, Tom (Denise) Stein of Mississauga, Ontario and Jim (Pat) Stein of North Bay, Ontario; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and the many friends that he made throughout his lifetime. Dwight was predeceased by his father, Herbert; his mother, Vi; his sister, Marilyn Lee and his brother-in-law, Roger Lee. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Donations in memory of Dwight will be gratefully accepted towards the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, Box 512, Blairmore, Alberta, T0K 0E0.
