BLAIS, Leda (Daigneault)

1942 - 2020

The family announces with great sorrow her passing in sturgeon Falls on Friday September 11th, 2020 at the age of 77 years.
Daughter of the late Henri Daigneault and late Therese nee St-Denis) Daigneault.  Loving wife of late Gabriel Blais of Sturgeon Falls.  Dear mother of Leyda Lajambe (George) of Rutherglen, Mike of Hamilton, Lucien of Ottawa, Christine (Lorne) of North Bay, Paul (Danielle) of Sturgeon Falls, Kenneth of Sturgeon Falls, and David of Edmonton.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 3 grandchildren, Sherri Roy, Kristopher Dagg and Brandei Bazinet and by her 6 great-grandchildren.
Also survived by her sister Therese (Daigneault) Ducharme of Sturgeon Falls and Henri Daigneault of Temiscaming. Predeacesed by her brother Stan Daigneault.
Our mother will be remembered for her great love of animals and that she loved watching the birds and feeding the squirrels from her back deck.  She loved collecting anything butterfly related and she also enjoyed drawing and folk art painting during her time.  She was most of all an avid reader of books and her knowledge on many subjects was quite impressive
We would like to express our gratitude and thank you to our Aunt Therese for the caring and support she has provided to our mother over the past few years.
The family will receive relative and friends at the Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home in Sturgeon Falls on Thursday September 17th from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Donations to the Women's Shelter (Sturgeon Falls) or the Food Bank (Sturgeon Falls) would be appreciated.
