Mr. Ross Blackmore died Thursday, January 1, 2004 at North Bay General Hospital in his 75th year. Ross was the beloved husband of Edith June (Brown) of Chisholm. He was the loving father of Raymond Brown (Pat) of Burks Falls, Douglas Blackmore (Judy) of Burks Falls and Debra Johnson of Ottawa and grandfather of James, Darrin and George Brown and Sharron Johnson. He was the dear brother of Dorothy Simmons of Orillia, Ray Blackmore of Sault Ste. Marie, Robert Blackmore of Hamilton, Herbert Blackmore of Burks Falls and was predeceased by his brothers Alan, Leslie, Harold and Chester Blackmore. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan (705-724-2024) today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be conducted by Father John Lockyer on Sunday, January 4th at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Spring interment at the Burks Falls Cemetery, Burks Falls. If desired, donations may be made in Ross’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
