After a strong fight against failing health Simone Beun died peacefully with family by her side at Cassellhome, North Bay, on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at age 94. She was predeceased by her first husband Daniel Lee and son Danny Lee, her second husband Romain Beun, her parents Cyril Wastyn and Maria Elizabeth (Biesbrouck) Wastyn-Wallaert, and her step father Arthur Wallaert, as well as her brother Morris Wastyn. She is survived by her brother Lucien Wallaert (Linda), niece Christina, and nephews Mark and Allan Wallaert; her daughter Patricia Filiatrault (Guy), grand-daughter Faythe Filiatrault (Ron Larmond), and grandson Jacques Filiatrault. Also survived by friends Barbara and George Vaughn and family. The family will receive visitors at Paul Funeral Home in Powassan, on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11 am.
