BELHUMEUR, Ida Elizabeth Lea

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ida, announce her sudden passing at the Mattawa Hospital, on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021. Ida Elizabeth Lea (nee Turcotte) was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Arthur “Joe” Belhumeur, she was 81 years old. Loving mother of Randy (Heather) of Iroquois, Ontario, Lisa (Rusty) Lejambe and Darrell (Gina) of Hamilton. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Samantha (Pat), Gabrielle (Nick), Samuel, Dominic, Annalise, Morgan, Natalia, Sophia, Solomon, Mariah, Cole, Keira, Cade, and by her great grandchildren Nyle and Laine. Ida will be sadly missed by her siblings Sheila (Marvin), Diane “Bizz” (Jean-Paul “Bazz” - predeceased), by her sister-in-law Beatrice Fowler, and by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Maurice & Lavina Turcotte and by her brother Danny (Celine). Her family would like to acknowledge the exceptional Care Ida received from the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Mattawa Hospital. Cremation will take place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church and her ashes will be interred in the family plot at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
