Passed away after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.
His loving wife Beth (nee Parizeau) was by his side. John is survived by his children Jeff, Lisa and Sean (Tammy). He will be affectionately remembered by his grandchildren Kate, Ben, Evan, Natalie and Matthew. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Phyllis (nee Brennan) and his brother Brian. John was a salesman, community volunteer and hunter safety instructor.
He loved spending time in the outdoors with family and friends. He will be remembered as the Easy Dealin’ Dealer with a kind heart and desire to help those less fortunate. He will be greatly missed but honoured by a lifetime of memories, laughter and funny stories. John’s family extends its sincerest thanks to the many healthcare professionals and support staff at the Algonquin Nursing Home and the Mattawa General Hospital who gave him such excellent care in his final years.
A private service for the immediate family is planned for a later date. If desired, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Algonquin Nursing Home or Community Living Mattawa.
