Surrounded by her loving family, Mary passed peacefully at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice on Monday, January 18th, 2021 at the age of 86.
The adored mother of Lucy Martino (Nick), Rick (Loraine), John (JoAnne) and Lea-Anne Demeis (John). Little Gramma/Oma will be missed by her 14 grandchildren,17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is survived by 10 brothers and sisters. Mary was predeceased by her parents Hank and Barbara Ouwendyk, husband John Bakker, son Perry and daughter Barbara.
In her free time, Mary could always be found in the pool, at the gym or out for coffee laughing with her many cherished girlfriends. Mary’s positivity and humour lifted the spirits of anyone in her company.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Mary’s sister Nelly (Phil) and brother Jack (Pat) for their continuous love and support.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice in Memory of Mary would be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
