At home on Monday, January 4th, 2021. Robert T. Baines of North Bay at the age of 65. Son of the late Mary T. (Dorrie) Axler (1996) and the late Thomas W. Baines (2012), brother of the William Baines (British Columbia). Remembered by Cousin Ellen Whittingham (Ottawa), Judy Whittingham (British Columbia) sister-in-law Barbara, and supportive friend Ed Tappenden (Calendar). Bob was a retired musician who had performed in many establishments Ontario and Quebec. During his long and sometimes frustrating encounter with cancer he remained surprisingly positive, often discussing the good things happening in the world and always had a joke to tell. At Bob’s request, no funeral services will be held. Cremation followed by private scattering of ashes in the Ontario wilderness. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
