Robert passed away peacefully at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Margerite (nee Rose) Armitage. Loving father to Brian Armitage and Michael Armitage, proud grandfather to Jessica Armitage and great grandfather to Justin and Jace. Robert was predeceased by his parents Earl and Eleanor (nee Harwood) Armitage and will always be lovingly remembered by Diane Armitage. The family would like to thank the staff at the Barclay house for all their care and compassion. In keeping with Robert’s wishes cremation will occur at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium with no public services. If desired donations are suggested to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice and would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
