ADAMS, Shauna Elizabeth

Shauna Elizabeth Adams age 71 passed away peacefully at the Mattawa Hospital April 20, 2020.
 
Shauna was born in Mattawa to parents "Eddie" and Audrey Adams April 6, 1949.
 
After graduating from F.J. McElligot Highschool Shauna went on to Kingston Psychiatric Hospital where she earned an Occupational Therapy Assistant Certificate.
Never one to fear a challenge Shauna then became the Supervisor of dispatch at Milton Limestone excelling in a male dominated work place at a time when that was not the norm.
At age 50 Shauna earned her certificate as a Personal Support Worker from Georgian college with Honours and was self employed caring for others until her retirement.
 
Shauna had a real skill for interior design and enjoyed time spent redecorating and rejuvenating spaces she loved. 
 
Always one to find the humor in any situation Shauna was quick to laugh and her laughter was always contagious.
 
Shauna is survived by her daughter Tracey (Mike) her brother Milton (Doris) her sister Marilyn; grandchildren Journey and Kaden, niece Jamilee (Mark) and her great niece Dany as well as many cousins.
 
A celebration of life will be announced once the social distancing restrictions are lifted
