Toronto Raptors give Kyle Lowry the night off against the Dallas Mavericks

TORONTO — The Toronto Raptors faced the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night without star guard Kyle Lowry and Norman Powell.

Lowry, who has been averaging 16.3 points a game, was given the night off to rest. He played in Thursday's 106-99 win in Indiana.

Powell is nursing a left ankle sprain suffered in a workout Wednesday.

Delon Wright started at point guard with rookie forward O.G. Anunoby returning to the starting lineup. Anunoby dressed Thursday in Indiana but did not play after missing the previous seven games with an ankle sprain

In other roster news, Toronto signed forward Nigel Hayes to a second 10-day contract.

The Raptors (51-17) were looking to tie a franchise record with their 11th straight win.
