Woman dies after car hits moose on Highway 69

The vehicle she was driving was southbound, struck a moose, left the roadway and rolled over

OPP report that a woman died on Highway 69 last night after hitting a moose.

At approximately 9 p.m. West Parry Sound OPP, Parry Sound District Emergency Medical Services and the Britt Fire Department responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 69 in Wallbridge Township north of Parry Sound.

The vehicle she was driving was southbound, struck a moose, left the roadway and rolled over.

Josee Boisvert, 56, from Sudbury, suffered fatal injuries.

The passenger was taken to a nearby hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
