Temiskaming OPP made an arrest for impaired while a woman sat in a driveway yesterday.
On June 2 at approximately 11:30 p.m., police got a call regarding a potential impaired person sitting in a vehicle in Temiskaming.
Officers found the suspect sitting in a car in a driveway and after speaking to her made the arrest.
Angel Shearer, 29, of Temiskaming Shores, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol, and
- Refusal to comply with demand/
Shearer was issued a 90-day Automatic Driver's Licence Suspension and her car was impounded for seven days.
She has been released on a Promise to Appear with a date to attend court on June 18, in Temiskaming Shores.
Meanwhile, on May 31, at approximately 3 p.m. Temiskaming Detachment officers received a traffic complaint regarding a potentially impaired driver operating a pick-up truck in a parking lot in Temiskaming Shores.
They located the suspect pick-up truck, initiated a traffic stop and spoke to the driver. The driver was placed under arrest for impaired driving and was taken to the Temiskaming OPP detachment for further testing.
Andrew Labelle-Rae, 29, of Temiskaming Shores, has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired - Alcohol, and
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus).
Labelle-Rae was issued a 90-day Automatic Driver's Licence Suspension and his pick-up truck was impounded for seven days. The OPP also located and seized open-alcohol, which was found within reach of the driver.
He was released on a Promise to Appear with a date to attend court on June 18, in Temiskaming Shores.
