The North Bay and District Canadian Club is hosting Larry Dyke who will talk about North Bay and its billion plus years of geology. This event will take place on Nov 22nd at the Best Western Hotel in North Bay.

Why is the Moon so cratered while the Earth isn't? Geology is the answer, the difference in the history of the two places.

"We need look no further than some of the magnificent road cuts along Highway 11 south of North Bay or the scenery in Mattawa River Provincial Park to understand the difference. The Earth is alive compared to the Moon. We will learn about the volcanoes, rifting tectonic plates, glaciers and catastrophic floods that have all left their evidence in this part of the world," says a news release.

Delicious Festival Lunch Buffet at noon with speaker to follow at 1:15.
