The AIDS Committee of North Bay & Area (ACNBA) will be marking AIDS Awareness Week (AAW) (November 24, 2016 to December 1, 2016) with a number of events culminating in a special World AIDS Day (WAD) gathering – being held inside this year - at the White Water Gallery.

North Bay Mayor, Al McDonald will read the official WAD proclamation with area dignitaries, art gallery and tattoo studio guests, ACNBA staff, volunteers, peers and friends of the agency on hand.

Following the vigil and proclamation at the White Water Gallery, donated red scarves, knitted by volunteers and friends of ACNBA for the Red Scarf Project will be tied in the downtown area by ACNBA staff, peers, volunteers and anyone who wishes to participate.

The scarves, bearing HIV/AIDS awareness information will be left for anyone to take. Recipients are encouraged to send us a selfie in their red scarf - which will be posted on our social media - or to upload one to #ACNBAredscarf.

Everyone is invited to a reception for light refreshments at our Main Street office following the Red Scarf Project.
