White Woods Public School is gearing up to host its 5th annual West Nipissing Christmas Craft and Bake Sale happening this Saturday, December 5th.

“Our event is now the biggest and best holiday craft and bake sale in the region,” says teacher/organizer Kiley Moulton.  “We have over 40 vendors participating this year with unique gifts, stocking stuffers and tasty holiday baked treats.”

The annual event was started and continues to be a big fundraiser for the school to raise money for its school yard improvement project.

"Over the past five years we have raised and spent over $70 000 in the school yard,” says Moulton. “We move the fence to widen the play area, removed unsafe gravel, planted trees, purchased soccer nets and installed the net climber 'beehive' plat structure.  We are presently raising funds for a second structure and are very close to installing."

Along with the many vendors, there will also be photos with Santa, a canteen available, Penny Sale and an ATM on site for those who forgot to stop at the bank.

Parents who would like to shop by themselves can also drop their children off in classroom 10 where the White Woods LEGO robotics team will have their robots and activities for the kids to do from 10-2.

The West Nipissing Christmas Craft and Bake Sale runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at White Woods Public School located in Sturgeon Falls at 177 Ethel Street beside Northern Secondary School.
