The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board is offering "Welcome to Kindergarten Orientation Sessions" during the months of April, May, and June in all 11 Catholic elementary schools across North Bay, Mattawa, Callander, Powassan and West Nipissing.
"NPSC is pleased to be working with the Learning Partnership and in collaboration with Ontario Early Years community partners in offering this valuable program to children and parents," says a news release. "Welcome to Kindergarten Orientation Sessions provide parents and children with resources and relevant experiences to prepare children for their first year of school."
Parents and students can take a school tour, a chance to interact with future educators and more. Parents will also receive a variety of early literacy and numeracy resources to help prepare children for the learning that begins in September.
Kindergarten is offered in both Regular English and Early French Immersion programs.
