Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay is inviting community members to help spruce up a section of the Downtown for a SECOND TIME  Saturday August 6th from 8 to 10 a.m.

The Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay weeders are back for round two of their Weeding Blitz!

It is asking you to help spruce up a section of the downtown for a SECOND TIME  on Saturday August 6 from 8 to 10 a.m.

This time, the weeding is taking place from Algonquin to Oak Street on sidewalks and building fronts.

"Close to 100 volunteers donated their time and hard work for the last weeding event, interest was sparked, and folks felt like they needed to continue this initiative in keeping our downtown weed fee," says a release.

“Community pride is so powerful, seeing the interest our volunteers to come back for a second weeding is excellent,” said Hariett Madigan, Chair of Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay. “Wonderful to see the passion we have here in North Bay.”

Bags will be supplied, although participants are asked to bring their own gloves and tools. Full recyclable yard waste bags left at the roadside will be picked up by city crews at the end of the day (no more than 25lbs.)  Participants are asked to meet at Days Inn upon arrival and park at Sully's Car Wash on Main St.
