The Warriors of Hope will be hosting their Annual General Meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19 at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Scollard Hall Secondary School and the public is welcome to attend.
The Warriors of Hope is a team of Breast Cancer Survivors who participate in Dragon Boat Racing as an example of what people can accomplish after breast cancer.
With the support of volunteers and associate members, this team of determined and energetic individuals has become a role model for cancer survivors, not only in North Bay but also wherever they compete.
The team celebrated its 20th anniversary last year and was recently honoured by the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame.
The AGM will feature guest speaker Nicky Poulin, who is a certified yoga instructor, teacher trainer and yoga therapy instructor at Ohana Yoga and Wellness Centre. She has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching for over 19.
Her speech will be on “The Importance of Self-Love and Building A Community.”
