(MATTAWA, ON) – On December 6, 2014 a member of the Mattawa Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar patrol on Highway 17, Papineau-Cameron Township.
At 10:02 pm a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt was recorded travelling in excess of 50 kilometres per hour of the 90 kilometres per hour posted speed limit. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and the driver, 20-year-old Robin BISAILLON of Valley East, Ontario was charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Speeding by 50 or more km/h contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused driver’s license was seized and the vehicle was impounded for the mandatory 7 days.
The accused is schedule to appear in Provincial Offences Court in North Bay on January 23, 2015.
