Union Duke is set to play tonight in North Bay. The popular indie band has been turning heads since they came on the scene a couple of years ago.
Windsong Music Festival concert promoter, Michael Herman says that tonight's concert is the second in a series to gain a local audience for indie music.
“Besides the Capitol Centre, there isn't a place to go to hear quality live tunes. The Capitol Centre has its place for mainstream music. If you go to a bar setting for music, you cannot hear the performers because of all the talking and even shouting. Buying a glass of wine for the price of a live band does not get a quality experience."
"We are all about the music, up front and center.”
Herman says Windsong Music Festival supports Canadian musicians.
Union Duke takes the stage at 8 pm at Les Compagnons, 327 Dudley Avenue.
