Two more impaired drivers off the road

A North Bay and a Huntsville man face impaired charges

 On Thursday July 13, 2017 at just before 9 p.m., Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) had information that a vehicle had left a residence in the town of Huntsville, and the driver had been drinking.  The male was driving a Ford pickup truck.

Officers located the pick- up truck a short distance from where the complaint was initiated. As a result of the investigation, William Timothy McGinnis (49yrs) of Huntsville was charged with Impaired Driving and having more than 80mgs of alcohol per 100mlts of blood under the Criminal Code of Canada. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 16th to answer to his charges.

On Friday July 14, 2017, just after 2 a.m., while on general patrol members located a vehicle on Forbes Road idling. Officers checked on the well-being of the driver and found that he had just smoked Cannabis in the vehicle. As a result of the investigation James O'Donnell (22yrs) of North Bay, ON was charged with Possession of a Schedule II drug under the CDSA and Care and Control of a vehicle while impaired by Drug under the Criminal Code of Canada. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville On August 16, 2017 to answer to his charges.

The 90-Day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated for both the accused and their vehicles were impounded for a period of 7 days.
