On January 27 at 3 a.m. police responded to a complaint of a break and enter in progress at the north end of King Street in Sturgeon Falls.

Police were alerted by neighbours who had been awakened to sounds described as breaking or smashing.

Officers arrived and discovered entry was gained to an outside shed and then to the residence by breaking a garage entry door and entering the home.

The thief then searched for items of value.

Police searched the surrounding area where they found a suitcase in a nearby snowbank.

The contents appear to have come from the residence and it is unknown if other items are missing.

The thief is described to be a male, wearing a Camo style jacket, dark pants and an item covering his face.
