Terry Fox movie leads up to annual run

Warming up for the 36th annual Terry Fox Run was a hair-raising experience for this young participant
There will be a showing "Terry" on Saturday, September 9th at 2 p.m. at the Theatre at Nipissing University. The story of Terry Fox's unprecedented cross-Canada marathon on an artificial leg for cancer research that made him a national hero starring Shawn Ashmore. 

Donations are accepted and appreciated.

"We are building on last year's momentum and are hoping to honour Terry Fox's legacy with even more donations this year. Last year we saw $11,756 pledged by the North Bay community, a 70% increase over 2015," says a news release from the group."
 
Please join us for this fun Run and help support Cancer Research in Canada. This fun event is family focussed. No minimum donations and it is not a timed run. Everyone is welcome."
