On November 27 members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the OPP and the Temiskaming OPP Auxiliary Unit, hosted a Cram-A-Cruiser in support of the local Food Banks and Animal shelter.

The members were set up between 9:30. and 11:30 a.m. to collect donations at Giant Tiger, Pet Value and Food Basics at the Temiskaming Square Parking Lot, and then from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Chartrand's Your Independent Grocer and the Walmart Parking Lot.

The OPP collected four cruisers full of non-perishable food items for the food banks and one full cruiser of pet food and supplies for the local animal shelter. Cash was also accepted and over $1,600 was raised.

Two off duty constables and five other auxiliary constables assisted during the event.

The OPP would like to thank the merchants and everyone who attended and contributed to these great causes.
