The Powassan & District Union Public Library welcomed local author Annemarie Hall as a part of the 2018 TD Summer Reading Club on Thursday.

Following the TD Summer Reading Club’s theme, “Feed Your Passions”, Annemarie came to talk to area children about how she became an author of her first children’s novel, Dragonflower. Annemarie inspired the children by assuring them that they can make the most of their creativity and curiosity and become authors as well.

The TD Summer Reading Club will continue until Friday, August 17th on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Powassan Library, 324 Clark St., Powassan.

“It’s been an awesome summer so far as we’ve explored different interests of the children,” said Summer Program Coordinator Breya Market-Matthews.

“We look forward to learning from each other and having a great summer here at the library.”
