'Suspicious' pedestrian facing drug charges

OPP at the Temiskaming Detachment reports a suspicious pedestrian was stopped Wednesday on Lakeshore Road, in Temiskaming Shores.

It was shortly before 11 p.m. when police noticed the man acting suspiciously.

Further investigation revealed that the pedestrian was in possession of methamphetamine pills. He was arrested and the pills were seized.

Police did not elaborate on what the suspicious behavior was.

Shaun Chatsworth, 38, of Armstrong Township, is charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance - methamphetamine

Chatsworth was released by way of a Promise to Appear. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 2, in Haileybury.
