OPP in Mattawa and Powassan Detachments will be stuffing their cruisers with food, rather than criminals next month.
It's called the Stuff-A-Cruiser events.
The goal is to stuff an OPP cruiser with food for the local food banks.
The Powassan Stuff-A-Cruiser event will take place on December 1, at 250 Clark from 6 until 8 p.m.
If you cannot attend during that time, you can drop off your donations between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. at 250 Clark. Hot chocolate will be served at the event.
The Mattawa Stuff-A-Cruiser event will take place on December 2, on Main Street from 10 until noon. You can drop your donations off any time before December 2 at the Mattawa OPP Detachment.
Food banks are looking for non-perishable food items such as:
- canned meats and vegetables,
- peanut butter,
- children's snacks,
- pasta, pasta sauce,
- condiments, and
- cereals.
