The deadline for public consultation on the City of North Bay’s strategic plan is fast approaching.

Residents are encouraged to have their say on the vision, goals and objectives proposed in Council’s Draft Strategic Plan Framework before the public consultation period closes this Monday, January 23.

“Over the past three months we’ve had the opportunity to see how passionate our citizens are about the future of our city,” said Mayor Al McDonald. “These conversations are essential to creating a community vision for our city. We will use this feedback to create a framework that will guide our decision making over the next decade to ensure a greater North Bay in 2027.”

Residents are encouraged to share their thoughts by completing the short online survey available atwww.cityofnorthbay.ca/strategicplan.  Any individuals with a printed copy of the visioning workbook from the town hall sessions are encouraged to fill it out and drop it off at Customer Service at City Hall.

Comments should be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. on January 23, 2017.

“We’ve had hundreds of interactions with community leaders, businesses, organizations and residents since November,” said McDonald, stating that civic engagement took place through 10 community town hall sessions, two stakeholder sessions, and the City’s online survey.
