When you're driving a hot car, pay for your gas.
One woman didn't heed that advice and as a result faces numerous charges.
OPP say on Saturday September 16, at approximately 8:20 pm members of the OPP Superior East Wawa Detachment got a report about the theft of gas from a Chapleau gas station.
Police were given a description of both the motor vehicle and the female driver.
Both were later seen approximately 20 kilometres from Wawa on Highway 101 and a chase started. Investigation revealed that the motor vehicle was stolen from Quebec.
As a result Amelie Laforge, 18 of Saint Joseph Du Lac Quebec was arrested and charged with:
- Adult Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
- Adult Flight while Pursued by Peace Officer
- Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Adult Theft Under $5,000
