The opening reception of "wnoondwaamin | we hear them" will be hosted at the White Water Gallery, on Tuesday January 17th from 6-9 p.m.

This sound art exhibition, curated by Lisa Myers, showcases work by celebrated female Indigenous artists Autumn Chacon, Jeneen Frei Njootli, Melissa General and Suzanne Morrissette.

The event will feature a performance at 7 p.m. by Jeneen Frei Njootli - who turns an ear to materials, such as caribou antlers, to sound the transmission of embedded and layered ancestral knowledge. The event and performance will be live broadcast on NAISA radio

Curator, Lisa Myers will be offering a curatorial talk at Nipissing University on Tuesday, January 17th from 11:30am-1pm (Small Cafeteria, A246), thanks to a partnership with Enji Giigdoyang (Office of Aboriginal Initiatives, Nipissing University).

The White Water Gallery is entering its 40th year of operation.
