The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay is collecting donated essential items and looking for sponsors for winter boots to ensure the homeless survive these cold winter months.
It is hoping people will help fill a trunk with new mitts and thermal socks.
The New Apostolic Church at 46 Joseph St. will be accepting drop-offs on:
- Thursday, February 3rd from 5-7 p.m.
- Friday, February 4th from 5-7 p.m.
- Saturday, February 5th from 1-3 p.m.
In addition to the new mitts and socks drive, you can help the homeless by sponsoring winter boots for $50.
"We will do the shopping for you and ensure that front-line organizations can provide the right size of boots to the homeless in North Bay," says Leah Pierce, Chairperson.
