A close call on January 8, for a father and daughter enjoying a snowmobile ride.
Officers of the East Algoma OPP responded to a snowmobile encounter between two snowmobiles on a local trail.
At 4 p.m., a man and his daughter were riding their snowmobile on EL-2 trail.
An approaching snowmobile approached them at a high rate of speed on the wrong side of the trail.
This forced the man and his daughter to drive off the trail to avoid a head-on collision.
Police say the two were not injured in the narrow escape and the speeding snowmobile did not stop.
It is described as a newer model black with orange Ski Doo Rev.
