(LATCHFORD, ON)  While on patrol in Latchford on November 17, 2014, a member of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2009 Arctic Cat snowmobile that was being operated on Sullivan Avenue at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Further investigation resulted in the operator as well as the owner facing charges.   

The operator of the snow vehicle, Jacob EVANS, 19, of Coleman Township is charged for Driving While Disqualified – section 259(4) of the Criminal Code.  He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on December 16, 2014.

The owner of the snow vehicle, Christopher BONNEY, 31, of Latchford is charged for permitting operation of motorized snow vehicle with no insurance – section 12(1), and failing to notify change of ownership – section 3(3) of the Motorized Snow Vehicle Act. 

The snow vehicle was towed and impounded for 45 days.
