Six people charged and arrested over the weekend

Over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 200 calls for service, and arrested and charged six people with the following offences:

Over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 200 calls for service, and arrested and charged six people with the following offences:

  • One person was charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, operation with over 80 mgs. of alcohol causing bodily harm, and failure to stop at scene of accident.
  • Two people were charged with public intoxication;
  • One person was charged with two counts of domestic assault and one count of utter threats;
  • One person was charged with theft under $5000 and one count of breach of recognizance; and
  • One person was charged with one count of resist arrest and one count of breach of recognizance.

Also, police are seeking the public’s help in an investigation.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Monday, someone lit a fire in an apartment building on Giroux Street. There was no damage to the building but tenants were evacuated at the time.
