Over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 200 calls for service, and arrested and charged six people with the following offences:
- One person was charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, operation with over 80 mgs. of alcohol causing bodily harm, and failure to stop at scene of accident.
- Two people were charged with public intoxication;
- One person was charged with two counts of domestic assault and one count of utter threats;
- One person was charged with theft under $5000 and one count of breach of recognizance; and
- One person was charged with one count of resist arrest and one count of breach of recognizance.
Also, police are seeking the public’s help in an investigation.
Shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Monday, someone lit a fire in an apartment building on Giroux Street. There was no damage to the building but tenants were evacuated at the time.
